İstanbul Mali Suçlarla Mücadele Şube Müdürlüğü ekipleri, sahtecilik yaptıkları öğrenilen kişileri takibe aldı. Yaklaşık 1 ay süren istihbarat çalışması ve teknik takip sonucu, sahte pul basıldığı belirlenen Zeytinburnu ve Kağıthane’de 2 matbaaya baskın düzenlendi. Matbaalarda yapılan aramada 3 milyon 994 bin 800 sahte İngiltere Kraliyet pulu, 80 adet Almanya pulu, pul basımında kullanılan 18 adet film, pul kesmekte kullanılan 3 bıçak, 1 serigraf, 1 mikroskop, 1 mikrometre, 2 diz üstü bilgisayar, 8 hafıza kartı, 1 ruhsatsız tabanca ele geçirildi. Mali polisin Zeytinburnu, Kağıthane, Fatih, Küçükçekmece, Bayrampaşa ve Bahçelievler’de düzenlediği operasyonlarda sahte pulları bastıkları belirlenen 9 kişi yakalandı. İngiltere’de Kraliyet pulunun 12 tanesinin 2.5 sterline satıldığı, Türkiye’de basılan sahtelerinin 12 tanesinin ise İngiltere’de 1 sterline piyasaya sürülmesinin planlandığı bildirildi.

I definitely wanted to become a musician.
It was almost impossible because it was, the dream was so big that
I didn’t see any chance because I was living in a little town.
I was studying and when I finally broke away from school and became musician.

Because all I ever wanted to do is music but not only play music but compose music.
At that time, in Germany, in 1969-70, they had already discotheques
So I would take my car and go to a discotheque, sing maybe thirty minutes
I think I had about 7-8 songs.
I would partially sleep in the car because I didn’t want to drive home and that helped me for about almost two years to survive.
In the beginning, I wanted to do an album with the sounds of the 50s, the sounds of the 60s, of the 70s, and then have a sound of the future.
And I said, “Wait a second, I know the synthesizer. Why don’t I use the synthesizer, which is the sound of the future?”
And I didn’t have any idea what to do but I knew I needed a click so we put a click on the 24 track which then was synced to the moog modular.
I knew that it could be a sound of the future but I didn’t realize how much impact it would be.

Once you want to free your mind about a concept of harmony and music being correct, you can do whatever you want.
So nobody told me what to do and there was no preconception of what to do.
